POSTPONED RoboTIPS policy event: the need for an ethical black box

POSTPONED

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Data Analytics (APGDA) and the RoboTIPS team are delighted to be hosting a webinar to discuss the implementation of the ‘ethical black box’ and the need for this technology within social robots.

The session will take place on TBC and will be chaired by Daniel Zeichner MP, Chair of the APGDA.

We will hear from panellists including Lord Tim Clement-Jones, Professor Alan Winfield, Professor Marina Jirotka, and more before opening the conversation to an audience Q&A.

RoboTIPS aims to develop a new approach to responsible innovation (RI) in the context of trustworthy and secure technologies. The principle challenge is to embed RI into technology developers’ practices and to create positive cases of RI in action. The EBB will aim to enhance safety in automated systems whilst also advancing public trust in these technologies.

This event has been postponed due to parlimentary activities, we are hoping to run the event in early 2022.
